Growing Hope is a fundraising division of Jesuit Social Services.

Did you know that Australians are more likely to die by suicide than skin cancer?

Suicide is the leading cause of death for Australians aged 15-44 and almost half of all Australians will personally experience a mental illness in their lifetime.

Growing Hope, an initiative of Jesuit Social Services, is proud to once again be the official charity partner of the Great Australians Gala Dinner.

The Great Australians Gala Dinner, to be held on Saturday 10th October at The Great Hall, National Gallery of Victoria. The evening promises to be one of the most entertaining events on Melbourne’s social calendar with a Great Australian seated at each table plus music from the likes of Kate Ceberano and Ross Wilson.

All fundraising profits from the event will go to support Jesuit Social Services' Growing Hope campaign and will help fund our work with young people who have mental illness and alcohol and drug problems. Many of the young people we work with have suffered family violence, abuse, neglect and homelessness – often leading to self-harm and, in extreme cases, suicide or attempted suicide.

Your commitment to the Great Australians Gala Dinner will support us to continue this work.
